doster82
Hey everyone, I'm looking into installing my 3" Invidia Catless DP on my LGT with the stock 2.5" axel-back and cans (for sleeper purposes, and because the cat-back I've been looking into is the Borla, which is also 2.5"). Would I only need to use a single 3"-2.5" adapter from the DP to the mid-pipe? I believe the Invidia Catless DP is 3" throughout, and doesn't taper. Thanks in advance, -Bishop
iNVAR
You are correct. Also make sure you get the appropriate gasket. One 3" flat flange gasket, and one donut ring (you should already have this... should be able to reuse it)
doster82
Thanks iNVAR. That's what I was looking to confirm.
doster82
Just to confirm, the Stock Turbo-DP gasket (44022AA180) will not work for the replacement? Anyone have a part number, or know where I can purchase the 3" Flange Gasket, do I need to buy it from INvidia?
iNVAR
Stock turbo->DP gasket should work just fine. And a regular 3" flat flange gasket for the DP->adapter should be fine too. Turbo->DP gasket made by Grimmspeed, 22% thicker than stock http://www.fredbeansparts.com/index.php/grimmspeed-turbo-to-downpipe-gasket.html Turbo->DP gasket, stock http://www.fredbeansparts.com/index.php/subaru-turbo-to-downpipe-gasket.html The GS one is actually cheaper by $2 than the OEM gasket. Here is the one you need for the DP->Adapter: $10 for 3" one http://www.fredbeansparts.com/index.php/universal-flat-flange-exhaust-gasket-s.html $14 for 3" one from GS http://www.fredbeansparts.com/index.php/grimmspeed-downpipe-to-3-exhaust-gasket.html $19 for the 2x thick one: http://www.fredbeansparts.com/index.php/grimmspeed-downpipe-to-3-exhaust-gasket-2x-thick.html The 2X thick one is REALLY thick.
