the4pumpchump
I am doing research on this topic now, but hopefully I will find something here that helps. So I have the Greddy Evo 2 exhaust on my 2006 spec b. and I keep getting pulled over for it. I dont want to take off my exhaust and get rid of it so I was hoping someone had some valuable information about SILENCERS for my greddy evo 2 exhaust. My friend recommended apexi silencers, but haven't tried it. Tip is 115mm/ 4.5 inches in diameter I believe ( I will double check). All responses are much appreciated. istealfrombums
I would say install a resonator or a third muffler in the mid pipe as a silencer looks very gaudy. I have a loud ass exhaust on my Impreza and I keep the silencer off cause it rattles with the piping and looks terrible.
Boostin1657615274
Which state do you live in?? I am in NC with a 3" downpipe, and 3" Agency Power exhaust that backfires when the BOV releases. Tips on my exhaust are about the same size, and the exhaust is probably louder, and I never have problems with the law. To the original question, maybe a bigger resonator might help. Silencers look and sound like pure shit. On the search for a new DD...
Woodstock
I have the same catback; greddy evo 2. I was pulled over because it was back firing. I am going to install a resonator on the midpipe in 2 weeks. It SHOULD lessen the noise.
boost4life
SILENCERS make the exhaust sound like a ricer honda, go with the resonator as mentioned above, flowmaster makes some you could use .
