DogLeggGT
Any tips or trick for removing the 3M tape from bodywork? I'm a bit concerned for the clearcoat. Has anyone performed this or other 3M tape removal with problems or sucess stories? Hairdryer? Some particular brand of adhesive remover? Perhaps a magic gorilla? Specifically, I'm taking my spats off and will be posting them for sale as soon as I do. They are painted USDM Satin Pearl White by my Subaru dealer. One of them has a couple good sized scratches in a bottom corner that could be easily filled and painted over. If you're interested now, PM me and I'll take some close-ups. Thanks. Does peeling off the tape require a heat gun/hair dryer to make it easier?
TRS
Heat will soften it up and make removal easier.

evak
Will you be selling your lip too?
DogLeggGT
Thanks for asking, but the lip will remain attached to the wagon. Besides, the lower edge is a bit chewed-up from some gravel roads here in KY. I'll have to spring for a repaint in the near future.
YCAGEL TG
If you use some heat, wear some gloves. That glue can get hot and burn the fingertips.
