99SUS SFD
I was driving home the other night and unplugged my cell phone charger from the cigarette lighter and plugged in my satellite radio power cord. All of a sudden I heard a pop and my headlights flashed. Blown fuse. Fine, so I go to change the fuse (#3- which also controls the heated seats and mirrors), and it keeps blowing. I thought it was the cigarette adapter so I pulled it out and looked at it, things seem to be ok there. Tried another fuse, blew it instantly. Any other things to check before I call the dealer tomorrow? Thanks.

Osei
check the inside of the lighter plug, there may be some metal in there shorting everything out. in general when a circuit keeps blowing something is making contact. wish you the best. 99SUS SFD
I checked the inside of the plug but there isn't anything wrong there. I called the dealer I bought it from and he told me to just disconnect the wires to the cigarette lighter, then try to put a fuse in. I didn't have time to do it last night but will try when I get a chance. I'm hoping that all I need is a new cigarette lighter.
