kaiba
I looking to replace my dd 01 impreza rs with 08-09 Spec B or FXT sport 07-08. I found this 08 spec B and was wondering if the price is too high and what I really should be paying for. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ctd/3691773424.html
jkaszynski
Ideally you'd pay a less, but that's typical asking price if you look on autotrader for similar miles/years.
claymore_6r
That's about right...but I'm sure you have negotiation skill where you could bring the price down a little. Good luck!
andnyleswillriot
well obviously you won't pay that much after you haggle a bit, but as the other's said that's a very fair asking price.
scoobyscoodle
+1. 20-22K sounds about right with that amount of miles. I would only pay that much if it's in very good condition though.
boxkita
56k miles, has an aftermarket intake (usually hte last thing you change, not first), brakes look like lots of wear. driver seat looks to have been well used. 56k miles seems like alot, when I see 05 lgt still being sold with that many miles. Get it checked out thoroughly and be sure no codes/cels are showing. Get a car fax/dealer records to see what's been done to it. lee07
Start at 17k and work up from there but no more then 20k including tax title etc
dmanaenk
^ +1 Several grand too high. I'm sure KBB numbers might suggest something like that and it usually takes time for people/dealers to realize that KBB is way off. So if it's newly listed I wouldn't bother, you'll just waste your time. Come back in a month and offer $18-19k and they will gladly take it. The asking price would've been okay if this was a Subaru dealer and the car was a CPO, but for a random street corner joint it seem too much even for an asking price.
RabidWombat
Used Subaru's are extra expensive in the Bay Area, so be prepared to pay a little extra compared to other regions. The best you'll likely be able to do is a hair under $20k.
Ellesedil
Aren't Spec B's each a priceless artifact and a considered a Wonder of the World? I think you need to add a few zeros.

I think you need to add a few zeros. you're thinking of extremely rare 06 spec B. The rest are a marketing gimmick. SCSpecB
I have 6k more miles on mine and my drivers seat doesn't look 1/4 as worn as that one...rear badges are in the wrong places as well.
wpmarky
FYI i was getting offers for 12k-15k trade in value for my 08 spec.b in the Bay Area, so 20k out the door from a dealer is a fair price. Private party you can find one for 18k here on the forums or on craigslist.
