So my idea, while browsing the local walmart i ran across these:

These things are waterproof, white and i asked the lady working on the clearence isle how much were they and she scanned them and said 5.00. Well my first reaction was to buy one or 2 packs, when i didn't take them all she asked let me print out a new price for those.... 2.50 a pack! i bought all but 4 sets but am going back in the next day or 2 to buy the rest.

anywho here is my idea: (also toying with the idea of puddle lights)

before: (sorry for the crappy pic)

after:

I like the brightness of the led's and for the price pretty cool, I'm going to try to fab up some puddle lights and other ideas tomorrow and see how they look tomorrow night.

Not to de-rail your project...but...

THIS VENDOR sells LED puddle lights...FYI.

^^^^

What he said.

I was going to buy those a while back and have bought a good bit off of cliff but unless he is active on here the guys over at nasioc are looking for him to fulfill some orders, I haven't seen him on line in a good while now.

I may not do this project but I only paid 2.50 for a 2 pack of these :icon_mrgr

There is also ebay lights that I bough for my puddle lights. here's the link...they have a little blue tint to them and are not quite as bright as the pic you fab'd up but then again I'm assuming you didn't have the cover on.

hmm interesting. Yea i didn't have the covers on the car but think maybe tonight i'll get to work on it. I'll take pics but the led's only cost 2.50 a pack of 2. If it doesn't work out though i'll prob look around or not do it.
