ndmx52 Posted April 13, 2011 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Does anyone know if I would be able to swap a '06 turbo Outback 5 speed manual transmission into a Legacy GT? My first reaction was yes, since they are basically the same car. That was until I looked up part numbers and saw different options. The 2 options are: Legacy/Outback, 5 Speed, w/o Outback, w/Turbo & Legacy/Outback, 5 Speed, w/ Outback, w/Turbo Is there anything different between these two? Different gearing ratios? LegacyGT is 4.111 and OBXT is 4.444. Other than having a different front diff, I think everything else in the transmission is identical. The individual ratios are the same, just a different final.
