capttris Posted November 23, 2017 Share Posted November 23, 2017 While I give [someone at] Subaru a lot of credit for coming up with the badge idea, I certainly don't want to 1) put any stickers/badges on my car 2) wish to be outward enough that I want to share my interests/hobbies with anyone on the road. Cadillac had (not sure if they still do) "Heritage of Ownership" badges that could be installed in the front grill, stating what # vehicle they owned, like it was a badge of honor. While it is a clever marketing tool for Cadillac owners to want to keep buying/leasing/upgrading to a new car as often as possible, to get the newest, more fancy and higher number badge, to me, a high number badge simply meant that they were an old rich person who spent ridiculous amounts of money on upgrading to new Cadillac's over the course of their life...
