TbirdMan
Has anyone ever tried brighter bulbs in the rear turn signal? with my JDM corners, my turn signals seem a bit dim in daylight. I am weary however of putting higher wattage bulbs in since the OEM ones seem to have gotten hot enough on one side to melt the screw out and come loose (i stuck it back in place, but I am gonna try to get a replacement Monday) I was thinking maybe LED replacements, how much brighter would those be? camroncamera
I plan on changing over to LED's myself. I've been using them in my Scirocco for years, and LED technology has only gotten better. http://www.superbrightleds.com has a huge variety and a lot of technical specs on each unit they sell. Stang70Fastback
I have an older (non-SMD) set of LED bulbs as reverse lights. They are pretty bright. I also just received, two days ago, four 45 LED SMD bulbs from them as replacements for my turn signal bulbs. They are ge brightest 1156/7 LED bulbs they offer. They are still slightly less bright than the Silverstar premium bulbs that were in the car, but I think the instand on/off effect probably makes them just as noticeable... and definitely moreso at night. I plan on doing the tail lights in the near future when I can afford it.
