EJH
Have any of you seen the motorized cubby from the earlier 350z's? Someone here should be able to figure out how to mod it for our LGTs!?! Check this out: http://my350z.com/forum/body-interior/485486-nissan-oem-350z-retractable-cubby-lid-kit-186-shipped.html And check out this video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCIanTILy60]350Z Motorized Stock Flap with integrated screen - YouTube[/ame] I want to install a Kenwood Kos-L702 monitor (if I can find one), but hate the idea of parking an excuse for a break-in on the streets. It looks like the door might hit the dash when open, but maybe the slope on the dash is right?
zmarko
In my opinion, while neat, it's a novelty. IF you put a dual din in the cubby, you lose the door any way, so it's of no use for you for "protection".
EJH
In my opinion, while neat, it's a novelty. IF you put a dual din in the cubby, you lose the door any way, so it's of no use for you for "protection". This would be a different concept then a full double din headunit in the cubby. The 350z cubby is designed for just a navigation screen, I believe, and so it's set back further into the dash b/c it doesn't need the room behind it for all of the stereo guts. My application calls for just a touchscreen - the stereo "brain" is under the passenger seat.
cholmes1
This was already addressed in another thread and on several other forums. It is not really something that would be useful, but if you are interested here is a link to someone who has done it...
