AVO panel filter safe with no tune?

I think the title speaks for itself. I have a completely stock 2009 LGT with 15 k miles on it. Within a month I'm going to be getting an access port and will tell Mike at Tuning Alliance that I'm running an AVO drop in filter. Am I safe to run the AVO filter without tuning? I've heard on here that the car can run a bit lean. Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I thinks it's lean when you have downpipe + avo filter with no tune, not the filter alone.

But well, I wish to have the answer too (but I'm on 05)

Just don't redline it all the time and you should be sorta fine.

But I would probably wait until you go Stage 2 with DP and get a custom map.

You would not see gains with Stage 1 with AVO Drop In Filter anyway.

Mike has one for that setup so you probably don't even have to go protune.

I don't expect to see any gains stage 1 w avo versus stage 1 w/o avo. I just thought I'd be replacing the stock filter soon anyways, so might as well get the AVO.

It may be a few months before I get the DP for stage 2.
