Mega Users seabass07 Posted December 22, 2011 Mega Users Share Posted December 22, 2011 Either way, it's an 07 or 08 5eat. That means the VB mod isn't ready yet.
ClimberDHexMods
05-07 are similar. I just modded an 07 for a customer. Let me look over some PDFs and see what external visual differences I can find. Actually, just post a picture of the front of your car Edited December 24, 2011 by ClimberD@HexMods [CENTER][B][I] Front Limited Slip Racing Differentials for the 5EAT now available for $1895 shipped, please inquire for details! NSFW
Where do these BL5 & BL9 designations come from? I thought BL5 meant 2005 BL, but I've only seen it used once or twice. Does BL9 mean the BL chassis after the facelift with the swoopy headlights?

frkkevin
yes but you have a complete IPT tranny on top of it True, however I don't see this trans holding what IPT claims. So far I'm doubting this trans.. judgement day Monday (if my map sensor comes in) 512whp/465ftlb 2005 5EAT Legacy (Build Log) Videos - -
ClimberDHexMods
A trans with extra layers of clutch pack material is great and all, but it still needs a valve body to feed it a lot of pressure or it will eventually slip like a stock trans, if fed tons of power. That is the issue. [CENTER][B][I] Front Limited Slip Racing Differentials for the 5EAT now available for $1895 shipped, please inquire for details! frkkevin
^how much power are you trying to get out of the gt40? 650ish whp .. will push it until we find the limitation to the car whether its motor, drivetrain, trans, or ecu. Still really thinking I'll be doing a standalone 512whp/465ftlb 2005 5EAT Legacy (Build Log) Videos - -
dv8ingvector
At 650 there is not much if anything in the drive train you should leave stock. Assuming the motor is all built up and the trans holds, your axles (if stock) are going to look like slinkies after a launch or two lol.
ClimberDHexMods
I don't think he's planning to do much launching. Not sure if the converter and his turbo would even allow much boost to build. Remember, the power band is entirely top end. Might even surge making some boost at low flow.
