I have had a scan-gauge for a while and the ultra gauge seems better at first but it's setup and operation is painful in the extreme- tough to program and mine's starting restarting itself randomly. Like you said i found it very time consuming to get used to it and still isn't easy.. lol but for only 80 bucks it was still worth it to monitor a few things and read/clear trouble codes.
