It was a bit too overcast/late today to take proper photos, but the car is dirty anyway. :p I'm pretty much finished with exterior mods, although I may pick up a set of aero splash guards.

So far (exterior)...

  • 2.0GT spec.B front bumper + misc. parts for installation
  • STi front lip spoiler
  • STi rubber underskirt for the lip
  • STi emblem on trunklid
  • K2 Gear rear spoiler (FRP)
  • JDM taillights
  • 2005 LGT headlights (cleared)
  • McCullough 4300K HID
  • PIAA Ion Crystal fog light bulbs
  • Chrome/amber turn signal bulbs

The Cusco coilovers go on next week, and I can finally put the Advan RS' on. :)

DAMMMMMMMMN!

I need a Legacy. Soon. Now. Yesterday...

WHY THE HELL does the car not look like that from the dealer? or at least without having to ship half a container worth of parts from Japan?

JDM Short overhang front bumper... Great.

STI front under-bumper spoiler... kick-azz.

Black/cleared front headlights (like JDM GT) and B4 JDM Taillights... as it should be.

and the K2 spoiler... Icing on the cake. PERFECT. I want that spoiler so badly. My future legacy MUST be spoilerless to make way for that part, right there. Sooo hot, want to touch the (car's) heinie!

Your car is definitely the "Veronica Vaughn" of cars. Understated at first glance, exquisite under a closer look.

Seconded for high-res shots. Desktop background and reference material, it is.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. :)

Where can I find some full-resolution shots?

I'll link a few into the main post.

You have to get the rear now. The K2 spoiler looks short because of the overhang of the rear bumper. Looks bitchin' though. Poat pics of the lip protector.

Did you order from japanparts?

I doubt I'll get the rear bumper, as the cost of it all isn't worth it to me right now. Plus, I'm saving up now for StopTech's. :p I ordered the parts from AVO, although I've always had great service with Japan Parts.

Did they paint your grille your body color?

I actually just masked/painted the chrome ring around the grille with Rustoleum Metallic Black spray paint.

When are you coming down to the peninsula? :D

I barely drive this car 1/week as it is right now... :p Although, I'll be heading up to LIC Motorsports in Novato on Monday to get steering rack bushings and coilovers installed, as well as rolling my rear fenders.

I've already scraped the bottom of the rubber lip backing out of my driveway... Guess that's what it's there for. :p

Looks great - one of the best LGTs I have seen. Question - with the JDM front bumper, can you place a normal US plate on there? I would hate to do it, but in MD you have to have a tag up fron as well (hate having a tag up front).

The bumper is designed to accomodate a Japanese license plate, which means the mounting holes are about an inch wider than the U.S. plates. I am required to mount the front license plate here in CA as well, and will be doing so shortly.

I have an adjustable license plate bracket on order (~$12), which should work. If not, I will just go ahead and fabricate my own using a rectangular piece of aluminum/plastic and drilling two sets of holes for attachment.

Something like this;

[ * * * * ]

Blue = Japanese mounting holes

Red = U.S. mounting holes

It does look really sweet

IWANNASPORTSEDAN, BUY YOUR LEGACY ALREADY!!!! :lol: :lol: j/k

I will get my 08' next year before you do! :lol:

If my wife loses her job, you just might... :( (it might be good, though, cause she HATES it...) but it has become a looming possibility. Then more of my income is going to be instantly re-allocated. One of those situations where a lot of hard work, preparation, and planning might be completely flushed down the drain.

Anyway, enough on that topic, and I don't want to thread jack this thread anymore...

The pics look great, CreoSTI. I really do wish Subaru would realize that THAT is the way the cars should look. Aside from the spoiler (which STI has a similar one) those are ALL subaru parts. They would not have to move heaven nor earth to produce that car, nearly EXACT, in the US.
