.blackgt.
Hey guys, I just picked up an 07 outback wagon 2.5i. Nothing special just got it as a winter beater. As of right now, the headlights are a bit odd. The drl's only come on when the e-brake is pulled up (opposite of what should occur) and the passengers side (original light) the low beam will work sometimes. The only way the low beam comes on is when the stalk is in the off position. The drivers side headlight is a DEPO and was replaced by the previous owner on his own. Fogs will not come on. The tail lights come on when the drl's are working, and all 3 brake lights work as they should. Blinkers work as they should via the stalk. I don't exactly know where to start but any advice would be appreciated. http://i64.tinypic.com/hx6977.png
lookslikeanevo
check fuses....ebrake thing is a bit weird... Current:MY05 SWP wagon - 253/290 UP, AEM CAI, Invidia Q300, tuned@yimisport OLD: MY06 GRP - 274/
.blackgt.
Fuses were checked. All are properly installed and all are correct and not blown out. I'm almost thinking about swapping out relays and switches slowly but surely. Starting with that e brake switch.
rhino6303
The turn signal switch might be failing and the cause of your low beam issue. Check to see if the drls have been disabled. If you search for the "drl disable how-to" you should be able to see what to check.
apexi
Weird issues.. I would check to see if someone tried to do the 2005/2006 disable on your 2007. I would check for any disconnected connectors in the passenger footwell, like you see in the link below. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/drl-disable-10-minutes-2117.html While you're under there, I'm not exactly sure which plug this is, but I'd check for any wires that might be cut, like you see in the link below. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/hids-drls-electrical-2007s-and-up-177793.html Last thing I'm thinking is maybe your drl module is going bad or something, i also considered the thought of the turn signal switch (combination switch) like rhino says as well. .blackgt.
What I was going to do is check all connections to see that they are properly seated and nothing has been cut or messed with. After that get a new combination switch and e brake switch and if that doesn't solve the issue, then go and find a new DRL module. Thanks for the links.
