thew2589
I've had the problem for a few months now, accassionally I'll go to start my car and nothing happens. The alarm system disengages my starter and theres nothing i can do about it. after trying to start the car a few times it will usually start.. except this time i spent 20 minutes in my car trying to start it and i got nothing. I have not been able to start my car for over 3 days! any suggestions? i need help! its a 1998 Subaru Legacy GT
b18c_ej8
Sounds like the starter kill relay was intermittent, and has now failed all together. You'll need to locate it and replace, or, you can remove it. Don't forget to rejoin the starter wire that was cut to install the relay if you decide to remove it. mwiener2
What makes you so sure it's the alarm and not just a broken starter? My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
