ssaldana
Heres the problem. I turn on my high beams, passenger side high beam is out. At the same time the passenger side low beam cuts off when it should stay on. Is there a relay problem somewhere or by replacing the high beam bulb will it just complete the circuit and allow the low beam bulb to stay on when high beams are enabled. Hope this makes sense, help?
rallispec
are you sure that the low beam is supposed to stay on when you flip over to high beams?
ssaldana
The drivers side low beam stays on.
John M
This is completely off the top of my head; I haven't looked at any wiring diagrams involving the headlights... What you're describing sounds like Subaru took a shortcut and is running the low and high beams in series. If so, that's horrible! If that turns out to be the case, I'll be doing a rewire to fix that situation. It's like a strand of Christmas lights where "if one goes out, they all go out." ssaldana
I have no clue, this is only a presumption. I will move remove the other high beam bulb today to test to see if this theory is true. Any other input would be greatly appreciated from anyone!
