loopless
I'm from San Diego and my 2.5 GT has been sucking down a lot of smokey air/ash lately. I had a quick look at changing the air filter - I know it must be easy , but it wasn't obvious. Can someone give a quick tip on how to do it. Thanks! rao
If you take the hose between the air box and the inlet tube off it is very easy. Just take the hose off, unclip the clips open the box and remove the current filter. tdoggydog
And disconnect the wiring harness on the airflow sensor too. I don't know about that. I've inspected my air filter in hand without needing to mess with the wiring.
FJuan
That's because you have the 3.0. The 2.5 motors have a sensor on top of the air box. My wife's balls are delicious.

I didn't realize there was such a difference in the air box between the turbos and NAs.
SSN666
I have a 2005 2.5 GT. I have already replaced stock with a K&N filter. I can get the filter out and back in after just snapping the clips open and without removing the MAF sensor harness. It's tight but not all that difficult. The filter housings are the same regardless of 2.5 or 3.0. I do the same thing - just work it out little by little, and voila! No messing with the harness. Pawlwawl06
Ok, so I am trying to make some connections here. I have a 2.5i, and my MAF is bolted onto the air box half of the inlet tube. Is this any different from a GT? I have been trying to get a CAI, this is why I ask.
