Aftermarket Parts & Upgrades -- NEW AND IMPROVED

Recommended Posts

Ya know, I'm pretty disappointed that this is the successor to my aftermarket thread, especially since you could have just thrown up a single link to whiteline and said go from there, since that where half the links are leading to anyways, and you also took off like 60% of what i had on there...including different options for different budgets and brands, including things non-traditional upgrades that are possible..

..all im seeing from this is a bunch of 'will it fit' questions and 'yeah i didn't include that cuz it doesn't bolt up in 20 minutes' shit... instead there's a 'performance stickers' category that not only makes this look like an amateur honda club, but also comprimises the integrity of the whole damn thing...the **** man? imma fix some links in my old thread and help some people out..

I remembered these stickies being better equipped than now.

I like the budgeting thing, people can mess around with cars on a budget. I am a firm believer in that, although the popular thing to say is "don't play with cars without $"

That's what this forum is about, to help people, looking forward to it zues

yeah, if this thread didnt suck so much ass...

you'd know that up front, you can use any aftermarket strut bar from a 93-01 GC impreza, MAKE SURE that it's one with low-profile brackets, or else your hood wont close

in the back, any 02-04 bar will work, should just be straight across, no bends.. that bolts right up

I seem to remember your thread being full of dead links, and multiple people complaining that they were trying to get in touch with you to get it updated and you were nowhere to be found.

You vanished and never came back to maintain the thread. Why are you bitching?

Seats

1997 - 2001 Impreza 2.5RS

2002 - 2011 Impreza WRX

2004 - 2011 Impreza WRX STI

Note : Newer Legacy seats might fit.

I have 98 Forester seats in my 95 lego. They bolted right in (have to swap seat belt locks).

Gives a ~2 inch raise and adds features depending on your lego model.

Hey Zues, you seem to contribute a lot to this forum. I've been wanting to compile stuff from around the web in a format that is condensed and concise so we can find stuff easily etc. Forums searches and digging around forever is a pain sometimes so I went ahead and threw a page together.

I was thinking you might share provide some input so this page can become a library of information for 2nd gen enthusiasts.

Send your bookmarks this way! Not sure where they're saved but if you're using a browser like chrome you can export the bookmarks in HTML. This would create the markup keeping your titles and hotlinks so it would be EASY for me to add to the site.

Also, share the http://2nd-gen-legacy.allthedeets.com/ site link elsewhere? I don't want it to come off as self promotion (don't think it is at all), but it would be nice to get some feedback and people finding it useful.

Thanks man.

*** Checkout the tabbed section labeled Craigslist http://2nd-gen-legacy.allthedeets.com/ :) Just put that together, used it myself and found this 2 hrs away LOL http://eastky.craigslist.org/cto/4006526258.html - just what I was looking for and the site got me there within on click haha

Jesus Christ man... Let it go. It's just a damn thread. Let's use both of them. Each one has good information. No matter what though, people are still going to refuse researching what they need to know and ask stupid questions lol. I really don't think it matters which thread they post in.

I agree. I've been wanting to come up with a few complete threads for aftermarket parts and DIY diagnostics, but haven't really cared to... I say, just come up with a kick ass thread that could replace a few of the stickies, PM SBT, and see if he'll make that one consolidated thread.
