Ascutney Hill climb May 19-20 2012

Just a reminder that hillclimb is next weekend. The climb is at Ascutney state park(not the ski hill).

If you've thought about giving it a try, I suggest that you come work a check point for a day. You get a free lunch, plus the best viewing. Working a checkpoint consists of sitting in a chair on the side of the road, manning a radio to mark the forward progress of the cars. Bring bug spray, and a couple of snacks. Try to avoid anything with the color red(chair, coat, t-shirt).

Workers meeting starts around 7am daily.

I'll be in car 66 demonstrating just how slow a N/A subaru can go, don't hesitate to say hi.

I'll try to make it up to spectate. Worked the corners a few years back. Definately bring bug spray. Those suckers were the size of birds.

What subaru are you driving?

2002 wrx shell, but it's really a 99 2.5rs. Car number 66.

 

 

I ran Ascutney a few years ago in my 3rd gen wagon; the pavement conditions at the top were super sketchy - made me glad I wasn't driving the Nissan. It was so much fun though, with a chill group of guys, a nice campsite area, and a good amount of seat time on the cheap.
