My $200 Exhaust system

FUNHOUSE

Recommended Posts

I hope this is the correct place to post this. I just finished my exhaust project, In all it cost me $200 and thats including shipping for the parts, muffler from ebay and pipes from jeggs. I also made a video. Tell me what you guys think. I just don't believe in spending $800-1000 on pipes.

its nice that its only 200 and I hate spending 800 dollars on piping but, I got my turboback from megan for 1000 seperatly, together it would have been my less, however, the mufflers are much nicer, the y-pipe isnt that low to the ground, and it sounds much louder and nicer. I justify it like this, any VAG car (VolkswagenAudiGroup) will cost more. German cars in general will cost more to tune, my friends GTI has turboback for sale well over 1.5 thousand dollars. My friends M3 is rediculously expensive to tune. like 5 thousand dollars for a top of the line full exhaust... we get it easy... but otherwise, for that amount of money, it is a good job. I would spray it black, personal taste.

That exhaust looks and sounds as good or better than some of the a/m exhausts that are 4x more expensive. Excellent job. I think you are going to get a lot of PM's.
I'm probably the only person that has Wu-Tang Clan and Paul McCartney on their mp3.:p

Sorry I took soo long to respond. I did'nt even knew the tread was posted. Thanks for all the compliments. To answer the questions. I did all the work myself, its really not that hard, 3'' piping all the way. The Ypipe is not really that low and with the size piping I'm using its a trade off, does not rub at all. I love the sound, I used to stall the car all the time because it was soo quiet. Not any more. Its very quiet at crusing speed and emmit a wonderful growl partial and @wot. Its the family car so I did not want it to be too obtrusive.

I'm not sure if I can post an ebay link to the muffler with out breaking any rules, but they are called

Sportza Universal Muffler TR05

If anyone needs anymore pictures, just let me know. I know there are a few people that may want to try this and I will try to give any assistance . I will make a video of the car in motion.
