chimera
What would be considered maximum "safe" levels of boost for each stage on a 4th gen? If say, a typical stock tune was 13.5psi, then what would typical maximum be for each stage? I'm guessing it would vary based on what model turbo you're running? Reason I ask, is on a stage 2 tune LGT 2008 (still work in progress though) my boost gauge is showing peak around 18.5psi on VF44 turbo. Too high? Th3Franz
All depends on the quality of the tune. I ran 20 PSI on the stock VF40 at stage 2.5. If there's no knock, then it's safe. The stock intercooler is at risk at 18 PSI, so if you run a stock intercooler you'd want to stay below that. -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz
RWebb
I would also say Fanz is way outside the efficiency of his turbo Its not about PSI its about CFM and efficiency IMO.
Th3Franz
Efficiency wasn't bad at 3000 RPM Boost drops so fast on that tiny turbo as revs climb. -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz
