Baja suspension on LGT?

My buddy wants to swap his 05 Baja suspension for my 06 Legacy GTs. But will that work out for the both of us? My understanding is that some of the taller subarus have body lifts on them also(which could require a longer steering column or driveshafts or cv axles). Is this the cad with the baja? How much extra ground clearance will I actually see? I've tried researching this elsewhere but I can't find satisfactory answers. Thanks.
