urdrwho
While trying to deceipher the ever ongoing debate over trans fluids to use in our Volvo that has the Aisin transmission, I saw someone mention Lubegard. So I went searching to find out about Lubegard and I found a link where they mention Subaru 4WD. What's the scoop on this high friction modifier; has anyone used it in a Subbie? Do some subbie transmissions need HFM fluids? http://www.autocarepro.com/Article/42016/lubegard_products_receive_more_automaker_endorsements.aspx "“Subaru of Switzerland, in an official technical service bulletin, recently recommended LUBEGARD Highly Friction Modified ATF Supplement (our black bottle), as a solution to reduce customers complaints of noise and/or chatter in the 4WD clutch of automatic transmissions.”
Kevlar_07
sounds good on paper, I have a slight torque bind issue with my 96 I'm tempted to give this a try if a fluid flush doesn't do the trick
zedhead
I've been using lubegard for years. Best tranny additive available.

urdrwho
I also wonder? The black bottle has high friction modifiers. I went to the link I originally posted and it had -- “Subaru of Switzerland, in an official technical service bulletin, recently recommended LUBEGARD Highly Friction Modified ATF Supplement (our black bottle), as a solution to reduce customers complaints of noise and/or chatter in the 4WD clutch of automatic transmissions.” Chart for their products http://www.lubegard.com/pdfs/2010_LUBEGARD_CC_FINAL.pdf Do I get her if I buy Lubeguard product? http://www.lubegard.com/Glossamer.aspx Do you use the red or black bottle?
