I Wish
If I do not lock the reverse lockout cam under the car. Can I still install a short shift if I can still pull the cable up through the lever? I was thinking about using some fishing line or some other cable to pull the reverse cable up. My car is pretty low and I do not ahve ramps or access to a hoist this weekend.
Zimm
It won't work. The lockout is spring loaded and if you don't lock it in place it will retract the cable a bit and you won't be able to get the roll pin to line up.
I Wish
I have the Mode racing double adjustable lever and it looks like I have a good 60mm if I put the lever in it's lowest position. Is that enough?
Zimm
Not sure, I installed the kartboy shifter and I definitely needed to do it. It was not adjustable. I guess the big thing is that if you can get it to work you can't put the stocker back on. Then you are SOL with a car you can't drive.
