DavidAlphin
I'm looking to install a couple of gauge for my 96LGT. I'm wanting to install an oil pressure and oil temp gauge. I'm looking for some insight as to what gauges/kits you guys ran and where you tapped into the motor to do so...
bnguyenbb6
Killer B has an oil pan drain fitting that you can use the tap the pan for temp. Most people use the oil galley for the pressure. Subaru sells a oil galley plug designed for this.
ras06LGT
The gallery I've tapped into is where the stock pressure switch is located (at least for the 06 Legacy). Unless racing I don't see a need for oil temp on a daily driver. I gauge when the oil is up to temp by the pressure seen at idle. Once it drops to around 30 psi at idle I know things are up to operating condition. The coolant gets up to temp well before this.
