see_obxt
Half way into work today my check engine light lit up and the cruise control light started flashing. I had a 7:00 am meeting that was to last all day so I didn't have time to try the connectors recommended in another thread. On a break, I checked the gas cap, it was on tight and the CEL was still lit up. The dealer said bring it by so on the lunch break I went over... lights out. No CEL codes. I guess that's a good thing. Just wondering if, when it's cleared, there is a history and for how long? The service manager didn't think so so I left. Oh, it is normal for the cruise light to flash when a CEL is lit because cruise is disabled.
rony
When you have a CEL, the cruise is always disabled and flashing. My Car vBGarage
rao
It depends on the code, some clear if the fault is not repeated again after a certain number of on-off cycles, some will never clear. Of course if the p roiblem still exists the code will not go away either. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
