Synapse Synchronic BOV installed...

Recommended Posts

Just thought I would post this up...

My 05 LGT is a work in progress...I was running a TurboXS 50/50 bov for a while now. I have the Perrin FMIC kit and where the bov goes...it was really cramped up...It took me a while, but I found some hoses that would enable me to relocate the bov...I ran that for about a month. This worked fine, but I was not satisfied...I found a Synchronic bov for an evo 8/9...measured everything and it looked to fit...here are a few pics of it installed...works great and it's plumbed 100% recirc...so far so good.

I was thinking about that...I'll see what I can do about a video...

So far so good...the sound, although recirculated 100% now, is still audible...at lower boost levels there's a nice pshhh sound. At higher boost levels, when the air is really forced through the twist and turns of the return line back into the Perrin inlet tube, it sounds nice...like a tame Supra Chuggg, chugg, chug...

Running the TurboXS 50/50, I use to get an occasional backfire...none with this. I use to almost stall out after a quick boost then letting off the gas...not anymore. Shifts are smoother and throttle response has improved...so far, I'm very happy with the Synchronic bov...
