rockle3 Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 Hey LGT, I know don't know absolutely anything about transmissions except that it has gears and shit. My knowledge ends there. I'm about 4700 miles into my cross country trip and while on I90, my transmission decided that it had enough of 6th and started popping out of gear. I still can't replicate under which circumstances that this happens but right now it feels random. It happened 3 times on my drive, once just randomly and twice an hour later in a span of 30 seconds. Afterwards I just kept my hand on the shifter and applied a bit of pressure on it so it wouldn't pop out. What could be causing this? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BAC5.2 is the expert on tranny's PM him. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
