2011 wrx lower control arm on a 2005 LGT

Recommended Posts

So here's the deal, my 2011 WRX wants some STI goodness, and my LGT has trashed lower control arm bushings. I'm thinking about picking up the new STI LCA's and putting them in my WRX, then taking out the WRX control arms and putting them in the LGT. I am aware through much searching that they are not exactly the same but the only difference i can find is that the bushing is flatter and wider. Thoughts?

Welcome to my predicament, my friend. I had a Subaru shop tell me we can use 2008+ STI control arms on our LGTs, but then members on here told me they would not work because of the increased size.

So here's the best answer I can give you... :spin:. Helpful, huh?

08-10 WRX arm will fit LGT. 11 WRX and 08+ STI arms are longer. Bushings are the same size though, IIRC.

I can vouch for the bushings being the same size. I have 08 STI bushings in my LGT LCA's.
