While repairing my 2nd gen (1996) JDM Subaru Legacy's ignition lock cylinder, I came across this little nub. I can't for the life of me figure out what it does though. It's located on the bottom of the ignition cylinder lock, and there's even a cut-out for it in the plastic housing under the steering column so you can access it without taking anything apart. Setnev Posted September 20, 2017 Share Posted September 20, 2017 It's the interlock that prevents the key from turning to the off position when the car isn't in park. The cutout is so that you can you can trigger it manually in an event where the car cannot be put into park but you need the key removed. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
