2005-2006 LGT colored vacuum routing diagram

Feel free to speak up if I didn't color something right. Original credit goes to Subaru.

This is for the fuel and emissions systems. The boost control, crankcase breathers, and air bypass valve (BOV) are not covered in this diagram. Subaru doesn't seem to have supplied a "complete" vacuum routing diagram like a lot of other manufacturers do. You should see a 1993 Rx-7 vacuum routing diagram... 76 hoses.

Here is a colored diagram to show turbo system routing:

Finally, here is a diagram of the crankcase ventilation. The diagram was left uncolored so as not to obscure the arrows which show how the air flows.

Also, for an ECU pinout for 2005-2006 see this thread: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/click-here-2005-legacy-gt-ecu-pinout-126185.html?t=126185

good to have these pics at hand; just one caveat leaps out at me: there's only pressurized fuel in quite a few of the lines in pic 1, the thread title might mislead a greenhorn otherwise -- never can be too careful dealing with that stuff ;)

This absolutely pales in comparison to the vacuum diagram for my 1983 Mazda Rx-7. I stripped the carb and engine of all emissions controls and it stall has more vacuum lines than our Legacies. Thank god for modern cars!

Ha! You've never worked on a 3rd gen have you.

3000GT Vr-4 (twin turbo) are also nightmares, especially with the twin intercoolers and associated piping:

I agree that an LGT is a walk in the park compared to some vehicles though. The drive-by-wire helps simplify the idle controls.

The T fitting that the 05's have in the vaccum lines. I hear its one of the most important things to in the vaccum lines.

I think I was just looking at that the other day when the car was apart for a clutch. Maybe it's colored green in the first diagram? The 3-way joint near the purge valve?

Is there one of these diagrams for the 2007 version anywhere? I know the 07 cars don't have the blue tee, so my real question is where does the vacuum line go to?

Thanks MC! I'd actually figured it out anyways. One vacuum leak fixed. Not sure if my stalling issue is vacuum related or not. Car's going to Infamous today to get checked out...

Turbo inlet, or throttle body inlet?

Throttle body inlet is easy, yank the intercooler off and it's right there.

Turbo inlet has a lot more plumbing attached to it, and is easy to rip, and takes removing quite a bit more....

The intake manifold - big black one - number 3 in the diagram...
