youlikeit Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Ever since I've had my RX wagon most of the time the change from 1st to 2nd gear is a bit of a jolt. The other gears are very smooth. It doesnt seem to matter if its hot or cold, first start of the day or after a long drive. It doesn't seem dependant on throttle amount either. Very occasionally it shifts smoothly. Anyone had this problem or know the fix:confused: Other things I noticed that may or may not be related are Sometimes when I put the pedal to the metal at say 30km/h in second it wont change down to first and I dont have that get up and go. Also when using cruise control on the freeway lets say at 100-110km/h when a hill comes it changes to third but when the road levels out and the gearbox should go back to forth it doesn't(sometimes), I have to physically push on the accelerator then take my foot off for a couple of seconds and sort of trick it into going into forth(top gear) Apart from this around town and on the open road its usually fine.
