Carnooby1999 Posted January 2, 2016 Share Posted January 2, 2016 Im look8ngto buy a 2.5 subaru legacy. Its in good shape. Needs a few panels painted. Runs no check engine light. Intirior is clean. The guy wants 970$ for it. The transmission wontgo into gear its an auto. Has 105 thousand on it. I put it intorevers or drive nd does nothing. The lights on dash switch to show what its in but dosentmove. What do you think it could be. Guy sais it was a newer tranny put in and one day it went on him now wont go into gear. How much extra money do you have after you buy the car ? It could cost 3-4000 dollars more or less to have it fixed. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
