Entrepit
Is this a normal sound on the boxer engine? And even so, what is the most probable cause of it? What i hear is similar to the following example. After pulling into the garage after a long highway trip in most cars, there's a settling drip noise that shows up right once its turned off, that happens as the engine cools down. I think we all know that sound? I could make a recording if needed. Well in the legacy I hear that same noise about twice as loud and pings 3 times as frequent at ever stop (atm, fast food, what have you) As in with the engine still running! Problem is, I'm not sure what to think of this, at all. I suppose and hope to think that this is common and a boxer thing. But regardless it makes for an unpleasant Idle sound. rob-2
Mine does this after I shut it off. It's the metal cooling off.
