Also, I installed a new transmission into my car but when I put it into drive and press gas it won't go...why is that? Is it the TCM? johnegg Posted June 8, 2011 Share Posted June 8, 2011 under the dash left of the steering column. up high. it has 3 connectors on one side, they take up the whole side. plain metal color, not black. did you fully seat the torque converter before you bolted the engine to the trans?? failure to do so will damage the trans oil pump causing no go. search ''torqueconverter'' and see if you can find a how to thread.
