Sonax wheel cleaner results.

See attached pictures. Not back for a quick rinse. A little scrubbing I may have had them perfect.

Looks like great results. I've been using eagle one a2z wheel and tire cleaner for a few years and always works great.

Yeah i will have to try that out. This stuff was pricey. Not bad though. The blood red look is cool when it starts dissolving brake dust

Good stuff! it is good that you recognize that nothing perfect comes in a bottle. There is still some elbow grease which has to be applied after any product, but great ones like this sure do make it easier.

 

So is this stuff just for the wheels, or does it do the same thing on the tires too? I use the A2Z as well mainly because it kicks ass and also because it can be used on both wheel and tire. But I'm willing to try anything if it works well and saves me time.

I think that is a great result because the inside of your wheel barrel looks as clean as it can get too- which looks great to the finicky nit-picker in me.

It cleaned the tires fairly well. On the downside I am probably going to get 4 washes out of the bottle. I will probably go for something a little cheaper next time but it sure works good.

Sonax FE is specifically just for wheels. I wouldn't even waste the product on the tires.. Its specific purpose is to loosen iron-based product that is settled onto the wheel (brake dust). I just went through using a full bottle Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner, which does the same thing as S-FE, and I really liked the product. Next i'll try S-FE since I get that way cheaper than Adam's DWC.

Honestly, when it comes to things like cleaners and polishes, I go for whatever works. There are a lot of boutique brands out there, but I'll go to them when it comes to appearance and protection. One polish is much the same as the other and it mostly comes down to knowing how to use it. Same holds true for cleaners. Clean is clean and it only matters that you use something that doesn't do damage. If money is no object then the boutique brands do a great job, but why pay $20 bucks a bottle for something that does the same job as a $5 bottle that is twice the quantity? I'm not saying anything bad about these brands' wheel cleaners, but most of it is in your eye for detail and going over it again with a towel and spray bottle anyway, so don't spend $5 bucks every time you need to clean your wheels if you can do the same job for $.75 instead. I'm just sayin...
