LGT_King
So in my 'rents 05 outback the blower fan for the HVAC has stopped working. I pulled it out and found a nice collection of things and it was pretty much seized. Picked up a new blower fan and it still does not work... What are the common solutions/issues with these? All fuses are good. Suggestions? Thanks
LGT_King
Pulled the resistor and although its a bit more complicated than the previous years nothing looks fried on it. I also swapped relays from the fogs to the blower and still the same. The fan does not work at any speeds so it can't really be the resistor, right? Also, when I turn on the climate control (from off) the fan does give a slight pulse of movement and then stops (new and old fan). So it can't be a wire corroded/loose as it gets some power, it must a be a controller of that power. Everything else about the climate control works - A/C, all vents move, hot air comes out when its set to warmer temps, etc. You can get air moving through the vents a tiny but when moving and it set to fresh... LGT_King
Turned out to be the resistor... The resistor function on the auto climate is not like the manual. If it goes you will not got any fan speeds. Part number: 73533AG000
