amp0412
if you look on the back of the key fob there are directions for turning the beep on and off. it is possible that this might have happened by accident. i believe they are something like hold down the lock button and unlock for five seconds or something of that nature. hope this helps

MarkV
my car stopped beeping when i lock or unlock the doors or when i pop the trunk. it stopped beeping during the snow storm we got here before christmas. anybody else ever have this problem? If you search a little you will find a post on this, I don't remember how to do it myself but I do remember having read the post here on LGT.com It goes along the lines of closing the door (after you get it) put the key in the ignition tunr it to the on position, then unlock the doors or something, turn the car on for a certain amount of time, turn it off then during a 10 second or so window period you have to buckle and unbuckle the drivers seatbelt... I know this sounds crazy, or stupid but honest if you find the post you will find that it does work whether or not the key less entry has the click feature programmed into it...mine didn't its titled how to " " chirp -- you can figure what the quotes can be, i forgot, sorry bud I've Crashed My ROFLChopper into a LOLCanOhttp://legacygt.com/forums/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=16939&dateline=1230531251
MarkV
Just searche dit and found this (i believe this is what I meant ) 2009, 2008 Outback Legacy, Tribeca, Impreza Audible Chirp when locking/unlocking give you an audible signal when the doors lock and unlock. If desired, you may turn the audible signal off. Do the following to deactivate the audible signal. You can also use the same steps to restore the function. 1. Sit in the driver’s seat and shut all doors and the rear gate. 2. Hold down the UNLOCK side of the powerhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2_bing.gif door locking switch. 3. While holding down the “UNLOCK” side of the power door locking switch, pull the key out and re-insert it into the ignition switch at least 6 times within 10 seconds after Step 2. 4. Open and close the driver’s door once within 10 seconds after Step 3. 5. The turn signal lights flash 3 times to indicate completion of the setting. ***http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-i-c-e-security/167494-deactivate-alarm-chirp.html*** I've Crashed My ROFLChopper into a LOLCanOhttp://legacygt.com/forums/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=16939&dateline=1230531251
