winnipegsubaru
The OEM head unit on our leagacy's support the subaru sub... this connects via the i85 connector.. now in theory could I splice on a RCA conenctor and run that to a mono block amp and run a sub off it? I tried to do a search, and everything I keep finding has to do with LOC.... This was just a thought. Thanks
BigTDogg MA
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9457033&postcount=4 I learned quickly, if it has to do with Subaru OEM audio, SVXdc is THE man.
SVXdc
Only certain OEM HU models have the subwoofer output. Subwoofer output (built-in 5th-channel amp) is only present on HU model P-203UE (CQ-EF1560), which was only found in 2006 Legacy spec.B and Outback VDC models. HU model P-203UH (CQ-EF1561) does not have the sub output. Follow link to that post to see pin-outs of the i85 socket. On those HUs that do have the sub out, it's amplified. You would need a 1-channel LOC (or an amp that can take a high-level signal as input).
winnipegsubaru
OK so if I am using a P204 head unit, the sub doesnt come out of the i85 harness, is the easiest way just to use a LOC?
