m sprank
Dave, so this is true of all GS EBCS installs? To remove any pill completely? Getting ready to install my 68HTA and was looking for info on this. Yes. 3 port requires no pill.
cryo
Like others have mentioned, the pill becomes a projectile at your favorite friend when the aftermarket ebcs is installed *just kidding, hold onto it as you may need to go back to stock or take out a buddys eye if you throw it at them* If your using the stock ebcs but upgrading the turbo to a 16g you will need plastic/brass reducers to adapt the lines to work. kzr750r1
Lines fit fine on the NOS 16G I just picked up from Brian. Good to know the line size is larger on the 16G BNR Compressor for others to pick that up. I would have been scrambling for reducers. 510Finn
Finally addressed all the issues I had with the install of the 6SS 20GXR BB turbo. They gave me the wrong oil line -AN fitting. It fit onto the steel braided line to the turbo, but didn't fit the stock compression fitting. I picked up the correct fitting at ATP Turbo. Then, I had an uppipe leak. Found that compressor housing was interfering with the oil line and water line preventing the uppipe from sealing completely, just needed to use a punch to make some clearance on the water fitting and slightly bend the oil line down. I removed the oil line filter screen too. The screen was clean but that's not surprising since i've been running the Amsoil Dual Remote Bypass since 54280, and currently at 61677. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/13/7yse5u7e.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/13/3etenu4u.jpg This was the first clearance problem so had to remove the engine lift bracket. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/13/saqe6ehu.jpg Got a FMS TMIC with PW hoses for cheap while I wait for the Grimmspeed unit. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/13/gu2uga5e.jpg Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Edited January 13, 2014 by 510Finn 08 Spec B details

Turkeylord
Can you measure the compressor's inducer diameter? 16g should be around 48.3mm.

acumenhokie
You guys are so nice over here. They don't let you ask those kinds of questions over at NASIOC. What turbo do I have? The only surefire method of finding out what turbo you have is to pay for an inspection at a reputable turbo shop such as Forced Performance or Blouch. It should run under $100 and while they are in there, they can tell you what it is and if it's good or needs a rebuild, new seals, etc. to run right/better. But I posted excellent pics of the turbo wheels and included all the shots of the exterior markings on my turbo! Sweet, your thread still got locked because you didn't read the question above. Exterior markings mean zero as the internals can be changed and one cannot measure pictures with a caliper which is what is needed to determine what is inside. hortonheat
Guys I need some help. I had a bone stock 2005 Legacy GT 5EAT wagon with 168K and ran great, never a problem. I have put the car down for upgrades going Stage 3. I'm going to list the upgrades first 1. BNR 20g 2. IPT oil filter kit from Mike at Infamous 3 Uncatted Uppipe 4. Cobb catted Down pipe 5 TBE 6. Cobb SF Intake 7. DW 740 injectors and Pump 8. RacerX FMIC 9. Oil Control Vales 10. TGV Deletes 11. Throttle Body 12. Cobb 3 Port EBCS 13. Turbo Smart BOV 14. Spark Plugs 15. Coil Packs 16. Radiator & Condensor 17. Every Vacuum and Vent hose replaced 18. Valve Body mod for the 5EAT 19. Central Diff mod Other suspension mods So here is my problem, I can get the car to start! We have disconnected the battery, we have tested the fuel pump which was good and holding pressure. We pulsed the Injectors again fine. Double checked all of the harnesses and electrical connectors. The only possibility When we try to start it, it acts like it is running on two cylinders. What next???

Turkeylord
Trying to gauge interest here - since the new BNR housings have 1/4" barb fittings, I've been thinking about offerring 1/4" barbed EBCS fittings to match. You would be able to run reducer-free to both turbo fittings and the intake fitting. http://i.imgur.com/510JiD4l.png http://i.imgur.com/pbCPY7Ul.png Don't want to hijack this thread, so just like this post if it's something you'd be interested in. BryanBNR
Hey Guys. Hope all is well! On my next batch of barb fittings, I will put a restrictor in the compressor housing barb so you don't have to reuse the stock T fitting. Each batch I like to make revisions like this to help make the products better. New water lines and drain tubes are done. In the next month, they should come with the turbos. Does anyone have any requests to help my products be more user friendly? Turkeylord, if you test these EBCS's and they are proven reliable, send me some cards and I can put them in each Subie turbo box we sell. Brian3676
Debating on what rout to go for a new turbo. Thinking the BNR 18g as I am getting injectors and already have fuel pump and other mods. Debating between the BNR and a vf52 with billet wheel from 6starspeed. http://6starspeed.com/vf62tu6.html. Opinions? I also like the Garrett BB carterage but there $1200-1300. Is it really worth the extra money? In the past on my old Nissan motors I always used Garrett turbos and like the realiability.

I won't be selling the EBCS's themselves, just replacement fittings. They will fit any EBCS that has 1/8" NPT ports. That would include all MAC valve based EBCSs such as the GrimmSpeed, COBB, and AEM. http://i.imgur.com/AK06F10.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3ELDSeI.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bT9oOim.jpg GS includes two 90° fittings and one straight with the LGT model, but I always felt that 3 90s would be better as it wouldn't interfere with the alternator as much. Maybe I can let each buyer choose.
