OEM wheel color (2005 LGT 17x7) - silver or bright silver?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to get a replacement wheel for my LGT wagon, and some places are showing an identical 17x7 wheel for the 05 LGT in "Silver" and "Bright Silver". My dealership, via the phone, doesn't show two finishes. Does anybody have a guess as to which color is the proper OEM choice?

Is it an OEM wheel or just one that looks like ours??? I have OEM wheels for snows and OZ Racing for summer...the OZs are supposed to be "Bright Silver" and are quite a bit brighter than the OEM...So I would guess you want Silver to match the rest of your wheels...IMHO ;)

All the OEM wheels I've seen have been the same color. Unless someone paints them darker.

If your getting a OEM replacement IMO it should match.

I have take off's from a 07 for my winter tires, they are the same color, shade as my 05 OEM's which were replaced by Subaru in 06.

See rockauto.com They also have the choice between the silvers, but at 130/ wheel, you can buy both and still be less than the dealer price. I bought wheels for a couple vehicles off of this site in the past and they have always been a perfect match. Good luck.

LOL, it was such a toss-up on the color. I ended up going with "sparkle silver". Partly because I emailed pics of my wheels to the guy on OriginalWheels.com, and he thought sparkle (or bright) silver was the right one.

My luck dictates that it will be the wrong choice (I'm nice and positive like that). It will only bug me though (the wife drives the car and she would probably be OK with flat gray).

As long as the wheel is straight and doesn't almost fly off as a result of a slight bend that shears off four lug bolts, like this one (look ma, only one lugnut!)

I think the rotor is OK. Got new studs installed at a Tires Plus in Brunswick, GA. They checked it over, but I'll have my Subaru dealership check things out now that I'm back home in MD (I need a service after our 2000 mile road trip).
