Front Bumper Conversion

This may be a stupid question but 2005 and 2009 LGT bumpers are different correct? Can you put an 09 bumper on an 05 LGT without any serious modifications?

Need new headlights, fenders, grill, and bumper, but it's doable!

i knew it! if i may ask @docholladay23 what exactly are the most noticeable differences between the two?

I'm a big fan of the 08-09 front ends, they have larger grills, different shaped headlights, and some nice lines on the fenders. And the bumper itself looks more like a JDM spec.B bumper.

What about rear bumber/trunk?

I believe the rear bumper goes up further into the taillight area than the 05-07 ones. At least that's what I've noticed from just looking at 'em.

This would be pretty damn expensive for what you're getting.

Rear bumper only requires the bumper cover and tail lights, everything else is the same. I agree though, it's pretty damn spendy but if I ever got into an accident that destroyed the front end I would consider swapping it.

I hate the later rear end. The bumper is busy and ricey. Much prefer the later front end. More snub nose and cleaner.

If you can find the pictures I've posted here of my 05 and 09 side by side you can see the differences.

yeahI really like the 09 front end. Hopefully someone will back into me or have their car slide back in the next snow storm...

 

I REALLY like the trunk on the 09 too. not too keen on the bumper though

Trunk is the same through the 4th gen. including post facelift (08-09). I'd go with JDM parts if an accident occurred that took the front bumper, fenders, grill etc. Planning on a JDM rear bumper anyhow.

A front lip and lowering springs cured my front bumper in the sky look. It may work for you too. Also costs about $300 total.

Im getting quote for part this week (yay for working in a body shop!)

 

If I only need headlights. fenders, grille and bumper then I'm going for it.

Don't forget the headlight brackets and fog lights. You'll also need the bumper brackets that mount onto the fender as well.

 

I'm having some difficulty confirming whether the fender liners are the same from 05-07 to 08-09. I'm sure you can make the stock ones work if they aren't the same.

is there a difference between the 05 lgt and 07 spec b bumbers? might have just found a deal on one.
