dsagec
I have manual 95' Legacy wagon. i have had so much work done to it that it really runs like new, except for one real problem. When I shift into 5th gear and get up to around 50+ mph, the car will feel like it is jumping in and out of gear as i press and release the accelerator. It doesn't always do this, but does it at least every other day. Any ideas as to what could be done about this would be greatly appreciated. ThatGuyFromAus
Have you checked/replaced the Engine and gearbox mounts this can cause the motor to surge/move when backing off and accelerating. Could also be an engine misfire but ide doubt that Hope you find out the problem
SpecBamf41
your clutch could be slipping. my started slipping in 5th and worked its way down the gears. some times it didnt slip but when it did it would slip while on the gas a decent amount and i could see how a guy may think its out of gear cause the engine just revs up.
