N.sane
The car is based on a 2.5 GT with suspension modifications for better handling while the engine remains untouched. As for the exterior, there is a new front lip, sleek rear spoiler, 18" wheels, sport muffler and STi badges. Interior is black with leather seats and leather steering wheel. It will be limited to 600 units. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NRSDCBt4i-U/TBCHkx6v2nI/AAAAAAAAE0g/ysMxe_WGTQ4/legacy+STI.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NRSDCBt4i-U/TBCHkvCHr_I/AAAAAAAAE0U/bLOpgcyWKvk/subaru+legacy.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NRSDCBt4i-U/TBCHkxg0LUI/AAAAAAAAE0c/0-ZeFC5p4fM/subaru+legacy+STI+B4.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NRSDCBt4i-U/TBCHk-862gI/AAAAAAAAE0Y/CeBl4oHEgeI/subaru+legacy+STI.jpg http://lh4.ggpht.com/_NRSDCBt4i-U/TBCNenWhfKI/AAAAAAAAE0k/wSX4341UV3U/Subaru_Legacy_25_TS18.jpg http://lh5.ggpht.com/_NRSDCBt4i-U/TBCNerYm9TI/AAAAAAAAE0o/4Mcqg73a0yA/Subaru_Legacy_25_TS5.jpg

LosAngelesLGT
Sure glad they put STI badges on and left the powertrain untouched Does look pretty sexy for what I otherwise abhor as a chubby 5th G. I am in for one in white / wagon / mt
EvoFire
Rims = wants! The suspension looks yummy. Well at least the colors do...

eehpeehthreeh
Looking good. I'm curious as to what those badges say on the front grill and where those are going to be sold as well.
RochNY91TSI
Interesting that they have the smaller style US license plate holders on the cars. Probably doesn't mean anything though... Suspension mods are nice and all, but for the premium that I'm sure will be charged, more power would sure be nice. *Edit* Looks like it's in Japan- http://wot.motortrend.com/6657563/tuners/limited-edition-sti-tuned-legacy-25gt-ts-arrives-in-japan/photo_01.html
whitetiger
IM not impressed. they may as well call it spec b. It seem like STI is becoming a joke to subaru when they apply that nomenclature to on models other than the impreza. And everyone here knows that the USDM will again never see this. LegGT24
If this exact car with a manual was available in the US I would be sold. Aren't those the same wheels from the 4th gen STI version?

F-WDC Spec B
this Legacy STI doesnt seam like a big deal compared to the S402. looks practially the same and they didnt even put the brembos on. as whitetiger said it is more of a spec b.
CTSubiefan
I think Motor Trend has the write up on this.http://wot.motortrend.com/6657563/tuners/limited-edition-sti-tuned-legacy-25gt-ts-arrives-in-japan/index.html It really seams like a STi suspension and appearance package. A bigger turbo would seal the deal. Of course, I do like those rims a whole lot. Motor Trend reports it as costing 4,157,400 yen. $45,911. I know, I know don't get started on all that you can't compare prices in different countries rage. Just sayin
CTSubiefan
Looks like they're not calling it a Legacy STi, but a Legacy 2.5 GT TS. Lots of STi bits but no extra bite. That said, I'd be happy to take it off their hands.

dudeondacouch
still ugly as sin, 8 car-lengths slower than my wagon, and costs 3 times as much. no thanks.
stingray1967
This is almost exactly what I want to build, except starting from an '11 GT. http://image.motortrend.com/f/tuners/limited-edition-sti-tuned-legacy-25gt-ts-arrives-in-japan/28039112+w750/2011-subaru-legacy-gtts-front-three-quarters.jpg Recipe: Buy 2011 GTAdd Rota Gravel wheelsBlackout headlightsBlackout grilleAftermarket rear sway barFoglights are standard on the '11 GT. Other than the front lip spoiler and the turn signals in the mirrors, it is the same car from an appearance standpoint. The only thing I'd be missing would be the upgraded shocks. Not bad. It seem like STI is becoming a joke to subaru when they apply that nomenclature to on models other than the impreza. And everyone here knows that the USDM will again never see this. This is technically a "Tuned by STI" car. 4th Gen had several years of "Tuned by STI" models, as well. Basically a Spec.B with STI-catalog bits, and paint colors. this isn't a BUILT by STI car, like the WRX STI, R205, or S402 are or were. That is why the drivetrain is not different than a JDM Legacy GT. And this will likely be a JDM only, or ROW car. Pretty much ZERO chance of it being a USDM offering. IwannaSportSedan
Are you "TooHiptoBeSquare" on NASIOC? HipToBeSquare, yes. It is an old username I used on Nasioc and MacRumors, because I used to have an old G4 Cube computer. That computer was hip. and square. That was a cool bit of hardware design. IwannaSportSedan is now somewhat out of date, too, since I have one. I chose that one when I started on this forum, and was preparing to purchase a Legacy GT, years ago. When I was still wholly enthused about buying a Subaru sport sedan... So my newest user name in other places is "BoxerFanatic", on Autoblog, SVX World Network, and one or two other places. So now the Haters can know that they all hate one person under three different aliases.
