For those who know of me, know that I am more of an exhaust/car audio gentleman. So here's my question for you gents. I've purchased a set of 18X8 wheels and am wondering the following.

Do I buy 225/45/18 tires as my GT came with

Or do I buy 235/40/18 since hese are slightly wider then oem?

2010 2.5GT limited is for sale. :)

I'm sorry u should have posted that my car is a 2010 2.5 GT Limited. It will only have the RCE springs, and RCE Bilstein shocks installed. My offset on my wheels is 45 and the factory size tire on my car were 225/45/18.

Ok bad news, upon placing and accepting my order for the Lexani wheels, I find that they are back ordered until July. So to tide me over until I figure out what I want to do, I purchased a set of TSW also in 18X8 fitment.

Lol, meaning I am not up to date when it comes to what size on what wheels. My background is with Vw's and we stretched the heck out of those tires. But being AWD now I want as much rubber as I can safely put on these.

You can easily put 235/40/18 on our cars. 8.5" wide wheel with offset around 45mm will help fill the fenders. However, at that width, you should go 245 or even 255 wide. You will not rub with a 3/4"-1" drop. I think that wheels with widths of 9"+ and offsets below 40mm start sticking out and may require rolling of body work.
