Ebay HID's

I have always been a "You get what you pay for" kinda guy. But I am sure someone knows more than I do.

By the looks of it I would say heck no. Those ballasts look cheaply made/assembled to me. Bare, non-coated, they also look pretty bulky. You might get whine issues, wiring issues and who knows what else. What if a bulb/ballast produses flicker issues or something else?

 

My opinion is that Xenon Expert on these boards really carries the best package and bang for the buck. For $125 the Apexcone kit, I don't see how you can go wrong. Add $25 for lifetime warranty and really, if anything at all goes wrong, you're taken care of. I have his Apexcone 5k kit and am happy with it, aside from the little spread issue inherent with not doing a projector retrofit.

^balast whine..imo is normal

Yes, but there's barely audible whine and I-have-to-turn-my-stereo-up whine

I can't hear mine whatsoever.

being that they are in the engine bay..there should be no reason why they would be " i have to turn my stereo up whine"...
