timing belt screech

It could be your timing belt. A bad tensioner lets the timing belt slide on the pulley and make noise. This is very bad.

 

Check the accessory belts first.

Accessory belts, like said above, are the most likely culprit, whatever you do, DON'T put the "belt dressing" on them, it will stop the squealing very temporarily, but ultimately your better served replacing the belts.

 

If it IS your timing belt squealing;

1.) Stop revving to 5k

2.) Go get that thing replaced asap.
