sealoss Posted February 18, 2010 Share Posted February 18, 2010 i have a 1998 subaru legacy gt and have recently had the shifter sticking, only when i start it in the morning after it sits for 10 hours or so. its somewhat cold in the mornings, ive wormed up the engine for 20 minute and rocked the car the the button wont depress and shifter wont move. ive tried it about mid day and it work without any problems. how could i solve this problem or what can i do to prevent it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

WESTcoast Posted February 18, 2010 Share Posted February 18, 2010 sounds like he is talking about 4eat due to the button fact. sounds you have a sensor dying, as i think there is one that engages and disengaes the parking brake, you sometimes her it ( a little click) when pressing on the brake to move out of park. maybe someone else can fill in?
