power windows?!

Hi guys,

 

I have a problem with my power windows*surprise*. I did a search and most of them say check the fuses. so i did and all are fine. So Fyi i did search. But the problem is none of the windows roll down. They rolled down once and was able to close but that was about it. any ideas what this could be? thanks!

I hav the same problem with my reverse lights. Fuse good. So I don't know whats up?

Pull your door cards off, this is really easy. Check to make sure that everything is plugged in first. If not then check to make sure that none of the wires are cut. These wires are not to bad to trace around the car if you have a few hours to spend on it. If all of the wires look good you could check the switches to make sure they are not shot, this does happen if they see enough water. Check those things and see if you can't find the problem. If everything checks out then it might be something a little more difficult.

 

Just to make sure you checked the fuse box inside the car?

actually it is not a short. everyone always says that, but it is just the opposite. no not a long, it is an OPEN. a 'short would blow a fuse almost instantly by the way. usually it is the master door switch.

update! It was a bad relay. my friend and I traced it to a relay that went bad. wel he traced i was in the bathroom.
